My new wig

I had chemo on Tuesday this week, and we got encouraging news from Dr. Aggarwal. My liver counts (for cancer) are back to normal, which indicates a good response to this chemo treatment! I also bit the bullet and finally started wearing my new wig because my hair was getting too patchy for my comfort level. Everyone has been very generous in their praise of the new look, and I actually like it too. Then again, what woman doesn’t like a good hair day! I’m the lucky one who has a guaranteed style every day.

I’m amazed daily at how the Lord keeps picking us up even when we are down. We experience His blessings on almost a weekly basis, and there’s such a comfort in knowing that the closer I snuggle up under His wings for protection, the more secure and cared for I’ll be.

Tomorrow’s my birthday, and my wonderful husband has planned an evening out at one of our favorite restaurants. I’m really looking forward to this time to reflect and celebrate with him. He’s an amazing guy!
