Yesterday was my weekly chemo treatment, and it went pretty well. I slept through most of it because of the drugs they are giving me. Mark was with me and drove me home to continue sleeping afterward. At dinner time I threw up again, so we’ll mention this to the nurse next week.
My blood counts are getting a little lower, which mainly affects my energy level right now. I am back to work every day except my treatment day, so I’m sure that contributes to the tiredness. I’m trying to rest more, and Mark has been fixing dinner most nights. I also start my last two classes for my master’s degree this Saturday. I am praying so hard that I’ll be able to finish these classes. It means a lot to me to have this done.
I hope you’re driving carefully in all of this snow. It’s beautiful, but we all know that it’s also dangerous. The kids keep betting on a snow day before they go to bed each night.
Sandy, I know that you will finish your classes…I still think of you from the time in our cohort. I will you luck with your classes. You are such an inspiration to everyone you meet whether you realize it or not.
Sandy,
I don’t always write to you but I do always pray for you and yours. I admire your will and want to encourage you to continue the fight.
Hug your kids, they are your most precious gift.
Karen
Sandy,
While going through my mom’s momentoes and such, I found a bookmark containing the blessing you wrote about in your January 7th posting. This leads me to believe that she also found strength in these verses. I now carry this bookmark in my Bible: I feel a little closer to Mom – and I am reminded of where she found her strength.
I continue to pray for you, Sandy. Stay strong!
Brenda
Happy birthday wishes to you! My calendar reminded me that your birthday is this Friday, January 23. I’m sure you’ll celebrate in a special way.
God’s blessings and Happy Birthday!
