It’s been another bumpy week, but I think we’re ending on a positive note! I was sick and threw up on Saturday and more on Monday, and I missed work on Monday because of it. In fact, I spent most of the day on our couch sleeping. Everyone has told me that I might just need more rest. They may be correct. I haven’t felt sick since Monday, and I’m now on my 7-day break from Xeloda chemo.
Mark and I saw Dr. Aggarwal on Tuesday, and she was pretty positive, too. She isn’t worried about the vomiting, but if it gets worse we’re supposed to call her and she’ll set up a brain MRI sooner than January. My next scan of the rest of my body will be Dec. 18, with results coming on Dec. 24. This is routine while you’re on chemo, and it will tell us if the chemo has been working. If there’s a total response, I could be in remission again and not have to take any chemo. Please pray for this type of response! The other options would be that the spots are the same or worse, and I’m sure that would mean more chemo. Yuk.
Thanks for your continuous prayers and support.
Sandy

We will continue to pray for you and the family. You have handled all of this with such grace. We are really missing the girls and Austin would love to have them come over during Christmas break. Give them a BIG hug from us and tell them we miss them. You guys have a Merry Christmas!!!
